No Win, No Fee Compensation Lawyers

No-win no-fee is a great way to make a compensation claim. If you do not want to risk your own money in legal fees, a no-win no-fee deal is ideal. Your case will be assessed on the basis of its liklihood of sussess and if it has a reasonable chance, it will be taken on on a no-win no-fee basis.

No win, no fee arangements

Apart from in family or criminal cases, many claims are suitable for a Conditional Fee Agreement, often known as 'no win, no fee'.

A Successful Claim

In a 'no win, no fee' agreement your solicitor will only be paid if the claim is successful and he or she will also be entitled to an extra fee known as a success fee. Both the basic fee and this success fee are normally paid in whole or part by the losing party.

Other incurred costs such as court fees or the fee for a medical report known as disbursements are paid for by the losing party.

You are liable for any costs that the losing party is not ordered to pay.

A Failed Claim

If your claim fails you will not have to pay your solicitor, but you will most likely have to pay the costs of the other side. You will also have to pay any disbursements of the winning party. However, your solicitor should be able to arrange insurance to cover this risk. This is known as 'after the event' insurance. You may have to pay the insurance premium.

For a 'no win, no fee' arrangement to be valid, the solicitor will have to complete several formalities and give you information at various stages.
